Coach Marlon joined Team Foster in 2016, with a strong wrestling background. He started wrestling at 8 years old and by high school he was a freestyle state champion, Greco Roman state champion and a runner up in folkstyle (collegiate) in Alaska. He has a degree in Physical Education with a Coaching minor from Jamestown College in North Dakota, where is he was in the wrestling starting line up for 4 years and was a NAIA Division National qualifier.
After college, he trained in MMA a couple months here and there but decided he wanted to join a school with a belt system and really specialize on the ground. Training has always been a constant in Coach Marlon's life regardless of outside factors. He likes the culture and the sense of community BJJ provides.
Coach Marlon brings his huge wealth of knowledge to the Monday evening drilling and live training class.
